We have participated in Vakantiebeurs 2019 Tourism and Leisure Fair in Utrecht, the Netherlands. As a member of THTC-Turkish Healthcare Travel Council, we represented our country in health tourism on the first major fair of the year. Minister of Culture and Tourism Mr. Mehmet Nuri Ersoy honored our stand with his visit. We answered all questions throughout the fair from our visitors about the services provided by our clinics. This year’s activities of the fair have been quite productive.

Root canal treatment (endodontic treatment) is required when you have a tooth infection. When you have an infection, your body sends white blood cells and antibodies to the infected area to kill the bacteria. The tissue becomes red and swells. When you have an infection in your tooth, there is no room in the canal space for extra antibodies or white blood cells.

To fully understand this remarkable technique for replacing teeth, you should first understand what a dental implant is. An implant is a small titanium screw that fits inside your jawbone and replaces the root-part of a missing tooth. Minor surgery is required to insert the implants. Once the implant is in place, a crown is attached to give you a highly realistic-looking and functional prosthetic tooth.

Today's dental implant restorations are virtually indistinguishable from other teeth. This appearance is aided in part by the structural and functional connection between the dental implant and the living bone. Implants are typically placed in a single sitting but require a period of osseointegration.

In order for a dental implant to be successful, the patient must have sufficient bone in the jaw to place the implant into. Usually, the quality and quantity of bone in the jaw are reflective of how the bone healed after the tooth was removed, and not an underlying medical condition.

While the American Association of Orthodontics recommends that patients should have their first orthodontic exam by the age of seven, it does not necessarily mean every 7 year-old will require braces. We typically will recommend orthodontic treatment for our younger patients in cases where we can manage skeletal growth to optimize facial and dental development.
